Faction 12 ( The Bees) is one of the seven factions in Reassembly that is currently available to the player in-game. They are known for their cities which replace plants in their territory. Some of their factory bases are rooted to asteroids. They currently have the strongest thrusters, and drones in the game.
Methodology[]
The bees are a lightly armoured melee faction that excel in rapid movement, and incredible damage in close range.
The Quantum Doom beam, which is their standard weapon is incredibly powerful, but with minimal range it makes it necessary for Bees to employ their maneuverability to maximise its effect. The Impulse Thruster acts as a solid kick for pure speed, while the maneuvering thruster allows small precise changes to orientation and direction. However, their default hull and shields are not as tough as the equivalent in other factions.
They lack turreted weapons, however do have an incredibly cheap flak-like PD Subsystem that allows them to counter missiles and drones easily.
They also have Shard Launchers that deploy spinning mines, that are useful in retreat.
They also employ laser drones, these are the most powerful drones in the game. These drones are equipped with Quantum Doom Beams making them deadly.

Fast moving ships with the beam weapons on the front. The PD Subsystems are very cheap. The Laser Drone Launcher costs too much to be used effectively with small ships. This faction can have very effective small ships due to the power of their beams.
Ships that carry large amounts of drones serve Faction 12 well. The drones may be weak in fewer numbers, but in amass they can easily compete with other capital ships of similar P values. Combining mass drones with the quick speed of Faction 12 ships, any Carrier can stay out of range of enemy ships without any problem, allowing the drones to do the work. However, other large capital ships as Faction 12 are very difficult to create due to the lack of armor.
